Dear Food Vendors,
My Waterloo Days has been scheduled for June 3-6, 2010. We have enclosed the application for this year’s festival. Please look over the changes. We again require a deposit to be submitted with your application. We have changed some of those deposit amounts from last year to make it fairer for locations with shorter event times.
We will continue to use Lincoln Park for the People in the Park event, slated for Thursday and Friday. Please note this event will end earlier on Friday. The Friday evening events will begin the rest of the weekend at the Expo Plaza. However, due to set up times, we will not be closing the park and moving vendors to the Expo center, so please apply for both locations only if you have multiple vending setups.
We have also been instructed by the parks department that no vendor trailers are to be on the grass in Lincoln Park. The ground is still recovering from last year’s usage. All the vendors will therefore be on the street. Please be specific in your applications as to your length (including trailer tongue) and side you vend from. We will try to accommodate back up vehicles, but these may be up to a block away and no electricity is guaranteed for these.
At the Expo Plaza, we will be placing the vendors on Jefferson Street. We will have activities happening to the North and South of us, so this will make for some creative set up to not have your backside to the customers. Please see enclosed map. The water in this area is limited, so please plan to bring what you need for cleanup.
Each food vendor needs to be in good standing with the Iowa Department of Revenue and Internal Revenue Service. Since we are not using coupons you would need to advise us accordingly as an additional deposit may be required. Failure to disclose such may result in not being accepted.
Please return the application with your deposit check by Feb 15th. We will send confirmations of the locations you will be assigned after March 1, 2010. Please hi-light any new additions to your menu from 2009, if any.
